history
Until the church is planted
The places Oberhausen and Unterhausen in the Upper Archbishopric of Mainz became, according to the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1803, a part of the newly formed Principality of Aschaffenburg of the Prince Primate von Dalberg . In 1812, the Mairie Oberhausen with Unterhausen consisted of 75 fireplaces and 283 souls (residents), whereby the manor of Unterhausen was Graeflich Ingelheimisch. Unterhausen had its own patrimonial office. Peter Brand was the mayor of Oberhausen and Unterhausen, his adjucts were called Johann Lebert and Johann Rüth. A third adjunct was called Adam Englert. Englert was also the patrimonial school of Unterhausen. With the Principality of Aschaffenburg, now a department of the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt, Hausen finally came to Bavaria in 1814 . On April 25, 1856, the two previously independent communities were merged to form the community of Hausen.
Administrative history
In 1862 the district office of Obernburg was formed, on whose administrative area Hausen was located. As everywhere in the German Reich , the term district was introduced in 1939. Hausen was now one of the 35 communities in the district of Obernburg am Main . When the district of Obernburg was dissolved, Hausen came to the newly formed district of Miltenberg on July 1, 1972 .
