Georg von Eickstedt

Georg von Eickstedt (born March 25, 1584 in Rothenklempenow ; † March 15, 1655 ) was a knightly district administrator and member of the Consilium status in the Duchy of Pomerania .

Life

The son of Valtin or Valentin (II.) Von Eickstedt († 1601), district administrator in Pommern-Wolgast , and Elisabeth von Ofen, together with his brother Caspar, were under the tutelage of his uncle Matzke and Viv Intelligence von Eickstedt after their father's death. After attending the pedagogy in Stettin , he studied from 1600 to 1607 at the universities of Frankfurt (Oder) , Leipzig , Jena and Marburg . In Frankfurt (Oder) he met the theologian Christoph Pelargus , with whom he exchanged letters

1606 took Georg von Eickstedt at the funeral of Duke Bogislaws XIII. part. From 1607 to 1619 he was involved in the Eickstedts trial with the Radekows.

Georg von Eickstedt was first referred to as district administrator in 1613. In 1628 he was elected to the Consilium status for knighthood , the War or State Council of Pomerania. In 1630 he became the owner of the land box in Pommern-Wolgast. As a witness in 1634 he signed the document with which Duke Bogislaw XIV transferred the office of Eldena to the University of Greifswald .

He was buried on November 15, 1655 in Stettin's Marienkirche .

family

Georg von Eickstedt was married to Ursula von der Gröben for the first time. With her he had a daughter and two sons. His second marriage to Lucretia von Berg had four daughters and three sons who died prematurely.
