Georg Lebrecht Alexander von Klitzing (born September 1, 1847 in Grassee , Saatzig district ; † April 14, 1922 at Gut Charlottenhof, Landsberg district (Warthe) ) was a German landowner , lawyer and politician.

Georg von Klitzing came from the old Brandenburg noble family von Klitzing and was the son of the landowner Ludwig von Klitzing (1818–1868), lord of the Charlottenhof and Grassee, and Alexandrine Freiin von Kottwitz (1824–1893).

Klitzing married on May 20, 1871 at Gut Würben Marie von Waldenburg (born June 15, 1849 in Berlin ; † February 12, 1929 at Haus Diedersdorf), the daughter of the royal Prussian chamberlain and court marshal Eduard von Waldenburg , landlord at Würben, and the Orlinda von Klitzing (Gresse House, Mecklenburg ).

Life

Klitzing was a royal Prussian first lieutenant , landlord at Charlottenhof, from 1888 a member of the Prussian manor house for life and legal knight of the Order of St. John .

He studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1868 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . As a landowner, he was Vice President of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Province of Brandenburg , a member of the German Agricultural Council and State Economics College, as well as the General Waterways Advisory Board. In 1909 he was proposed as a member of the Immediatkommission for administrative reform and was a deputy member of the provincial committee. Klitzing was director of the general landscape in Poznan and was proposed in 1918 for a new term of ten years.
