George Kranz Stefen (* 15. December 1956 ) is a German musical theater - musicians and freelance actor .
Life
George Kranz graduated from high school in Berlin-Zehlendorf, has worked for the Grips Theater for many years and lives in Berlin.
Act
In 1980 he became a member of the Berlin band Zeitgeist .
In 1983 he achieved an international hit with the title Din Daa Daa (drum dance), which reached number 1 on the Billboard US Dance Charts as well as the Top 50 in Germany and other European countries. The then released album My Rhythm , on which the Phenix Horns participated, was not a success.
Kranz played with Ulla Meinecke and bands like Third World or The Fog (who later called themselves Stoneman ). He gave concerts with Madonna . Shake of the Ying Yang Twins achieved a platinum CD .
Kranz also played drums in Nackt im Wind , the band's benefit song for Africa .
In 2001 George Kranz put his drum dance on again in a mix with DJ Pulsedriver , before he became drummer at World Bang in 2003 , which broke up two years later.
In 2006 the song Din Daa Daa was used for the XBOX 360 commercial.
Since 2006, Kranz has appeared again as a singer, drummer and co-producer with the project 'Schöneweile'. Here old songs like The moon has risen or The thoughts are freely interpreted in a contemporary way. His current projects are '3 + 1' and Four on the Roof "- which will appear in La Palma in February 2017 .
He has been working with Lars Eidinger since 2014 as a live performance: The incompatible in a poem
Kranz has been a freelance drummer and songwriter at the Berlin children's and youth theater GRIPS since 1981 - for example for the musical Linie 1 . He is a member of the GRIPS pop music ensemble, where he also appears in the group Die fabelbaren Millibillies . and also on a world tour with the Millibillies .
