George Yod Phimphisan CSsR ( Thai : ย อ ร์ ช ยอด พิ ม พิ สาร , pronunciation: [ jɔ̂ːt jɔ̂ːt pʰimpʰísǎːn ]; * January 19, 1933 in Bangrak , Bangkok , central Thailand ; † December 15, 2017 in Udon Thani ) was a Thai religious and Roman Catholic Bishop of Udon Thani .

Life

George Yod Phimphisan joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in and received on 4 October 1959, the priestly ordination .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Udon Thani on October 2, 1975. The episcopal ordination donated his predecessor Clarence James Duhart CSsR on December 12th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Michel Kien Samophithak , Archbishop of Thare and Nonseng , and Archbishop Giovanni Moretti , Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Thailand .

On November 14, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
