Geraldo Claudio Luiz Micheletto Pellanda CP (born September 1, 1916 in Umbará , Brazil ; † January 2, 1991 ) was Bishop of Ponta Grossa .

Life

Geraldo Luiz Claudio Micheletto Pellanda joined the Congregation of the Passionists in and received on 23 September 1939, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 9, 1960, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular bishop of Mades and Coadjutor Bishop of Ponta Grossa. The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Armando Lombardi , donated him episcopal ordination on February 11, 1961 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Curitiba , Manuel da Silveira d'Elboux , and the Bishop of Ponta Grossa, Antônio Mazzarotto .

On March 20, 1965, Geraldo Claudio Luiz Micheletto Pellanda became Bishop of Ponta Grossa, succeeding the resigned Antônio Mazzarotto. The inauguration took place on April 24 of the same year.

Geraldo Claudio Luiz Micheletto Pellanda participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
