Armando Lombardi (born May 12, 1905 in Cercepiccola , Campobasso Province , Italy , † May 4, 1964 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .

Life

Armando Lombardi received on 22 July 1928, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 13, 1950, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Caesarea Philippi and ordered him to apostolic nuncio in Venezuela . The Apostolic Internuntius in Luxembourg , Clemente Cardinal Micara , donated him episcopal ordination on April 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Switzerland , Archbishop Filippo Bernardini , and the Bishop of Boiano-Campobasso , Alberto Carinci .

On September 24, 1954 Armando Lombardi became Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil .

Armando Lombardi attended the first and second sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
