Manuel da Silveira d'Elboux (born February 29, 1904 in Itu , São Paulo , Brazil ; † February 6, 1970 ) was Archbishop of Curitiba .

Life

Manuel da Silveira d'Elboux received on 15 August 1931, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 10, 1940, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Barca and auxiliary bishop in Ribeirão Preto . The Archbishop of São Paulo , José Gaspar d'Afonseca e Silva , donated him episcopal ordination on March 31 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Santos , Paulo de Tarso Campos , and the Bishop of Ribeirão Preto, Alberto José Gonçalves .

Pope Pius XII appointed him on February 22, 1946 Bishop of Ribeirão Preto. On August 19, 1950, Pius XII appointed him. to the Archbishop of Curitiba. The inauguration took place on December 8th of the same year.

Manuel da Silveira d'Elboux participated in the first, second and third sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
