Gerd Bandilla (born October 3, 1934 in Mostolten , Lyck district ) is a German local politician, former district director of Nörvenich in the Düren district and district representative of Lyck .

Life

At the age of ten, Bandilla fled with his parents from East Prussia to the Rhineland . After attending school and Administrative Studies at the then Office Friesenheim , now part of Erftstadt , changed Bandilla the city administration Cologne , where his last position in the finance department worked. In 1972 he was elected as the successor to the late municipality director Josef Pütz as the municipality director (at that time head of administration in North Rhine-Westphalia ) of Nörvenich. He held this position until his retirement in 1992. Bandilla is married and has one daughter. He lives in Friesheim.

During his tenure, Nörvenich Castle was placed under monument protection as the oldest monument in the historic community . From 1980 the Bodenstein- ( Pottenstein ) family expanded it to use it as a museum of European art and as a supraregional event location without public funding . Since then, it has been a “citizen's castle”, where registry office weddings, anniversary celebrations for companies, politics and traditional associations take place. The historical building is in demand for film and television recordings.

In addition to many offices in the local CDU associations, Gerd Bandilla was a city ​​councilor for the city of Erftstadt from 1969 to 1975 and a member of the Rhein-Erft district from 1975 to 1989 . Furthermore, from 1975 to 1982 he was a member of the delegates' assembly of the Erft Association and from 1976 to 1984 a member of the supervisory board of the structural support company for the Rhein-Erft district.

Activity for Lyck

Gerd Bandilla got involved very early in his hometown in what is now Poland . He was a co-founder and from 1965 to 1971 chairman of the "Association of Young Lycker" within the district community of Lyck. In 1977 he took over the local representation for Mostolten, his place of birth. In 1982 he became deputy district representative and in October 1985 district representative. In November 1992 he was elected a member of the executive board of the East Prussian state representation (OLV). He developed contacts with the twin town of Hagen and prepared many district meetings. Since 1992 he has organized and accompanied many bus trips to his East Prussian homeland.
