Gerhard Möllhoff

Gerhard Möllhoff (born February 16, 1922 in Hanover ; † May 21, 2005 in Heidelberg ) was a German neurologist , social medicine specialist and psychiatrist .

Gerhard Möllhoff received his doctorate in 1953 . From 1962 he worked as a lecturer at the Institute for Forensic Medicine at Heidelberg University in the fields of insurance medicine and forensic psychiatry . In 1969 he completed his habilitation and in 1972 was appointed associate professor.

Möllhoff worked for 17 years as a doctor for social security agencies , later as a government medical director and until his retirement in 1984 at the Heidelberg pension office. In 1993 he was appointed honorary judge at the Federal Social Court by the Federal Minister of Labor .

He is the author of more than 220 scientific papers and was one of the founders of the Academy for Social and Occupational Medicine Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart and in 1988 re-founder of the Heidelberg Conversation .
