Gerhard Reischl

Gerhard Reischl (born July 17, 1918 in Munich , † April 16, 1998 in Bonn ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and lawyer . From 1969 to 1971 he was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Finance and from 1973 to 1981 Attorney General at the European Court of Justice .

education and profession

In 1950 Reischl received his doctorate as Dr. jur. at the University of Munich with the work The Modifications of Proportional Election by State Election Laws and Jurisdiction in the Weimar Era

Since 1937 he was a member of the Cimbria Munich fraternity .

MP

Reischl was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1972 . He was always drawn into the Bundestag via the Bavarian State List . He was also a member of the European Parliament from 1971 to 1973 .

Public offices

Gerhard Reischl was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Finance in the Brandt I cabinet headed by Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt on October 22, 1969 . With the resignation of Federal Minister Alex Möller , Reischl left office on May 13, 1971. He then served as Advocate General at the European Court of Justice from October 9, 1973 to January 11, 1981.
