Gertraude Kruse

Gertraude Kruse (born October 25, 1939 in Hanover ) is a German politician ( SPD ), former district administrator of the Hanover district and former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Before starting her political career, Kruse worked as a chemical-technical industrial clerk. She joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany in 1966 and later became treasurer for the SPD district of Hanover. Until 1992 she was a member of the supervisory board of the district settlement company Hanover. She was a member of the board of directors of the Kreissparkasse Hannover and a member of the credit committee. From 1986 to 1991 she was a council member and financial policy spokesperson in the Pattensen community . The district council member (from 1981) of the district of Hanover also acted as chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group from 1991.

From June 21, 1990 to December 16, 1998, she was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament (12th to 14th electoral term). In 1996 she was elected district councilor for the district of Hanover and held this office until the end of 1998 she was appointed district president of the district of Hanover . She was the last holder of this office until 2003; In 2004, the district governments in Lower Saxony were abolished.

Kruse is a member of various clubs and associations, including the IG Chemie-Papier-Keramik , the workers' welfare , the Social Association of Germany , the German Red Cross , the German-Israeli Society , the Federation for Environment and Nature Conservation Germany and the German Alpine Association .

She is married and has two kids.
