Hans-Adolf de Terra

Hans-Adolf de Terra (born April 10, 1921 in Schleswig ; † January 19, 1994 in Hildesheim ) was a German politician ( CDU ), lawyer and administrative officer.

Life

After graduating from high school in Minden, the son of a government director studied law and political science in Göttingen from 1939 to 1941 and in the same year passed the first state examination at the Higher Regional Court of Celle . As a trainee lawyer in Hanover, he was drafted as a soldier in 1941 and served in World War II until 1945 . After the end of the war he began (who passed his administrative examination in 1946) a career in various administrative levels in Lower Saxony, including in the Lower Saxony State Chancellery . From 1966 to 1972 de Terra was district president in the Hanover district and from 1983 to 1986 he was president of the Lower Saxony state administration office .

De Terra joined the CDU in 1962 and was a member of the board of the Evangelical Working Group of the CDU in Lower Saxony . From 1972 to 1980 he was a member of the German Bundestag . In the federal elections in 1972 and 1976 , he was elected via the state list of the CDU Lower Saxony. In the Bundestag he was a member of the Defense Committee .

He was a member of the board of trustees of the Hermann Ehlers Foundation .
