Gertrud Müller (politician, 1911)

Gertrud Müller (born August 25, 1911 in Berlin ; † September 27, 1992 there ), née Pfefferkorn, was a German politician ( SPD ).

Müller attended a business school and did a commercial apprenticeship. She worked as a saleswoman and stenographer . In 1926 she became a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ) and three years later of the SPD. From 1930 onwards she was employed by the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG). When the National Socialists " seized power " in 1933, Müller was disciplined and dismissed. From 1936 to 1944 she was a commercial clerk.

After the Second World War , Müller became politically active again in the SPD Berlin-Spandau . In the Berlin election in 1948 , she was elected to the Spandau District Council, and in February 1949 she was elected to the Berlin City Council , as Georg Ramin (1899–1957) was elected to the District Councilor. Even with the election to the House in 1950 Müller was elected. From 1954 to 1963 she was a member of the Spandau District Assembly, from 1961 even as chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group. In the 1963 election she was re-elected to the House of Representatives, to which she belonged until 1971.

From 1953, Müller was an employee of the BVG, most recently as a train dispatcher.
