The health center at the UKB is a specialist medical center in the Berlin district of Biesdorf in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district .

history

Construction work began on September 7, 2012 with a groundbreaking ceremony at the corner of Blumberger Damm Warener Strasse, next to the accident hospital and the Blumberger Park condominium . A building with five floors was built on the 10,000 m² site . A small row of shops was built on the ground floor with a hearing aid acoustician , a medical supply store and a café. The construction cost around 30 million euros . 40 rooms for medical practices and a pharmacy were built. The accident hospital will also use part of the area for ENT and oral and maxillofacial surgery .

The topping-out ceremony was celebrated on August 22, 2013 . A car park with 243 spaces was also built next to the health center. The new building was actually supposed to be completed at the end of 2013, then the opening at the topping-out ceremony was postponed to July 2014. The new health center has been in operation since the beginning of October 2014. The official opening was on October 10th of the same year with the Senator for Health Mario Czaja , with Mayor Stefan Komoss and with City Councilor for Economic Affairs Christian Gräff .
