Christian Gräff (born August 13, 1978 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and entrepreneur. From 2006 to 2016 he was a district councilor in the Berlin district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf . He has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since 2016 . He is also the regional chairman of the CDU / CSU's SME and Economic Union in Berlin.

Life

Christian Gräff attended POS Kurt Tucholsky in Berlin-Pankow from 1985 to 1991 , the Janusz Korczak School from 1991 to 1993 and the Gottfried-Keller- Gymnasium from 1993 to 1995 , which he finished with a secondary school leaving certificate . He then completed an apprenticeship as a retailer from 1995 to 1998 . This was followed by a position as authorized signatory and later managing director of a retail company from 1998 to 2004. During this time, he did his community service in 2002 at the Berlin- Marzahn accident hospital . From 2004 to 2006 he worked as a freelance businessman, after being elected to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016, he has been back in business since 2017.

Christian Gräff joined the CDU in 1995 and was deputy chairman of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district association from 2000 to 2003 and then again from 2005 . In addition, from 2002 to 2009 he was a member of the Berlin state executive committee of the CDU. Since 2007 he has been the local chairman of the CDU Berlin-Biesdorf .

Christian Gräff sat for the first time from 1999 to 2001 and for a short time in 2006 as a member of the Berlin House of Representatives. In parliament he was a member of the main committee and the committee on health, the environment and consumer protection. Christian Gräff left parliament on November 30, 2006, and Carsten Wilke took over for him . Christian Gräff then became district councilor for economy and civil engineering, civil services and public order in the district office of Marzahn-Hellersdorf. In 2011 he was re-elected to the Berlin House of Representatives via the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district list. When he was re-elected to the city council, he resigned from the House of Representatives on November 1, 2011 and was responsible for the areas of economy and urban development in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district until 2016 . In the elections for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 , Gräff won the direct mandate for the CDU in the constituency of Marzahn-Hellersdorf 4 with 26.0 percent of the first votes and thus won one of only two direct mandates for the CDU in the eastern part of Berlin. He became the spokesman for economic policy and at the same time for the topics of building and housing for the CDU parliamentary group in the Berlin House of Representatives. In 2018, he also became chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the 2nd committee of inquiry of the Berlin parliament on BER Airport . He is also regional chairman of the medium-sized and economic union of the CDU / CSU in Berlin.

Gräff rejects the Berlin rent cap .

In his work, Gräff is actively committed to the construction of the Tangentialenverbindungen East (TVO), renewable energies and medium-sized companies in Berlin. He played a key role in the “Master Plan Housing” of the CDU Berlin and the economic policy direction of the CDU Berlin (Berlin Vision 2030).
