Geworg Ghazaryan ( Armenian Գեւորգ Ղազարյան ; born April 5, 1988 in Yerevan , Armenian SSR , USSR ) is an Armenian football player .
Club career
Geworg Ghasarjan began his career in the youth of FC Pyunik Yerevan . At FC “ Phoenix ” Yerevan, the attacking player started playing in the Armenian Championship at the age of 18. With a brief interruption due to a loan to Bananz Yerevan , Ghazarjan played a total of five years at the capital club, which ended with numerous titles won, including five championships in a row. In the summer of 2011, the versatile player moved to Metalurh Donetsk in the Ukraine for free. In the Metalurh team, Karlen Mkrtchjan and the naturalized Brazilian Marcos Pizzelli were already two other players from Armenia under contract. He made his debut on the 1st matchday of the 2011/12 season in the 1: 3 home defeat against Tawrija Simferopol after he was substituted in for Mykola Morosjuk in the 69th minute of the game . The first goal marked Ghasarjan away on the 9th match day against Obolon Kiev , when he could score the 1-0 winning goal. In the summer of 2013, the midfielder was loaned to the Kazakh club Shakhtar Karagandy . In the following season Ghasarjan moved to Olympiacos . In the winter of 2015, the midfielder was loaned to AO Kerkyra for six months and then handed over to Marítimo Funchal in Portugal . There he played for three years and then joined GD Chaves . He has been under contract with AEL Limassol in Cyprus since 2019 .
National team
Geworg Ghasarjan has played for the Armenian national soccer team since 2007 , before that he had already made 24 appearances in the U-19 and U-21 of his country. In qualifying for the 2012 European Championship in Poland and Ukraine, he scored five times in eight matches.
