Technical college in the technological field

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Istituto Tecnico Economico also Technical High School  ( TFO ), formerly Gewerbeoberschule ( GOB ), is a technically oriented high school in Italy . The German names are common in South Tyrol .

As part of a reform of the Italian school system implemented in 2011, the following former technical college forms were combined in the Technological College: Istituto Tecnico Industriale (ITI), Istituto Tecnico per Geometri (ITG), Istituto Tecnico Agrario (ITA), Istituto Tecnico Aeronautico (ITAER) and the Istituto Tecnico Nautico (ITN). Insofar as the letter “S” for statale or state is added to the abbreviations mentioned , these were state schools. Not all of these forms of technical college existed in South Tyrol.

The Technological Technical College is similar to the Austrian HTL as a technical training center for higher education .

Education System

The technical college in the technological field is  the second type of technical college alongside the technical college in the economic field (WFO) .

The technical college runs from the 9th to the 13th grade and is divided into 2 sections. The first two years (biennium) are taken jointly by all students, from the 3rd school year (triennium) specialization takes place through the choice of subject.

The training concludes with the final state examination (Matura) and the title Perito industriale ; In South Tyrol, the German term " diplomierter Gewerbetechniker " is officially used for this . In terms of content, the qualification is comparable to that of an Austrian engineer as a graduate of the HTL. The state final examination entitles you to study at all universities, but also enables direct entry into the world of work. After an internship and a further state technical examination ( abilitazione ), the graduates of the commercial college can register in the professional album ( Albo professionale ) of the Periti industriali and practice their profession on a freelance basis. This Perito industriale abilitato is to be distinguished from the Perito industriale laureato , which has completed a three-year university course.

Biennium

In the first and second grades, in addition to the general educational subjects, basics in the natural sciences and technology are taught. Practical lessons take place in the workshop, laboratory and computer room.

The biennium is largely uniform across the country; after the biennium, it is also possible to switch to related subjects in the other schools.

Triennium

In the triennium, the specific subject area of the school is then discussed.
