Ghabidolla Abbirachymov

Ghabidolla Rachmatollauly Äbdirachymow ( Kazakh Ғабидолла Рахматоллаұлы Әбдірахымов , Russian Габидулла Рахматуллаевич Абдрахимов * 23. January 1975 in Kirovo, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician.

Life

Äbdirachymow was born in 1975 in the village of Kirowo in the South Kazakhstan region (now Turkistan). In 1996 he graduated from the Kazakh State Agrarian University in Almaty with a degree in economics and accounting . He then worked as an assistant at the university and then spent two years in Germany , where he obtained a degree in public administration in 1999 thanks to the Kazakh Bolschaq scholarship program.

From June 1999 he worked in various positions, including as head of department and adviser to the chairman, at the Kazakh Agency for Public Service Affairs. In June 2001 he became the agency's vice-chairman and from November 24, 2003 he headed the agency as its chairman. On October 14, 2005 Abbirachymov was replaced by Sauytbek Turysbekow on this post and instead again deputy chairman. After about two years, he replaced Turysbekov and was chairman of the Agency for Public Service Affairs for the second time from January 14, 2008. In October of the same year he was appointed head of the Prime Minister's office. After four years in this position, from February 2, 2012, he was chairman of the Agency for Competition Protection and, from January 2013, deputy head of the Kazakh presidential administration.

On August 19, 2015, Äbdirachymow was appointed Äkim (mayor) of the city of Shymkent . After two years at the head of the city administration, he had to leave this office and instead got a post in the presidential party Nur Otan . After Shymkent was raised to the status of a city of national importance in June 2018, he was reappointed the city's Äkim. He was released from his post on July 30, 2019.
