Gian Giacomo Dalmasso

Gian Giacomo Dalmasso (born August 21, 1907 in Voghera , Italy , † September 12, 1981 in Milan ) was an Italian comic book author .

life and work

Dalmasso, who initially embarked on a military career, left the army in 1950 as a colonel in the reserve. Before that, he had already achieved initial successes as a comic book author. In collaboration with the draftsman Enzo Magni, who signed with Ingam , the comic series Pantera Bionda was created , which was published from April 1948 and has since achieved six-figure sales. Dalmasso contributed the texts to the cartoonist's debut comic book Onofrio Bramante with the King Prater series . Dalmasso's other comic series during this period were Aquila Bianca , Il piccolo centauro , Piccola Freccia and Naja, as well as the western series El Bravo, which was created in collaboration with Franco Bignotti . From 1958 he worked as a coordinator for the Mondadori publishing house and created numerous scenarios for stories about Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck , many of which have also appeared on the German market. He worked with various illustrators, including Giovan Battista Carpi and Massimo De Vita .
