The Gierzhagener Bach is a right tributary of the Sieg in North Rhine-Westphalia Germany . The stream is called Altehufener Bach and Hufener Bach in the upper reaches, and Scheidsbach in the middle . The total length of the stream is 10.1 km.

geography

The stream rises in the northeast of Altehufen at 335  m above sea level. NHN as Altehufener Bach . At first it flows in a south-easterly direction and after a short run it reaches Hufen . This is where the Hufener Bach flows out and this is also the name of the brook in the following section. Here the stream flows in a south-westerly direction. From the border between Oberbergischem and Rhein-Sieg districts , the brook is recorded as Scheidsbach in the German basic map . This name can be found in the German basic map to the south-east of Rommen , from here the brook bears the name Gierzhagener Bach.

At Mittel the Schnörringer Bach coming from the northeast flows . Immediately below Windeck - Rosbach the stream flows out at 125  m above sea level. NHN right side in the victory .

On its 10.1 km long path, the Gierzhagener Bach overcomes a difference in altitude of 210 m, which corresponds to an average bed gradient of 20.8 ‰. It drains an 18.0 km² catchment area via Sieg and Rhine to the North Sea .

Hoofed brook

The Hufener Bach arises in Siefen , from two source streams, which arise south of Waldbröl and flow together in Hufen . The source height of the named Hufener Bach is 342 m below the Freiheit , that of the more western Altehufener Bach is directly in Altehufen at about 335 m. The Altehufener Bach is the main arm of the water station.

After the union of the two brooks, the Hufener Bach flows over the Pochertal south of Baumen and Herfen , Krahwinkel , Wies, Seifen and Schönenbach to Mittel.

Schnörringer Bach

The Schnörringer Bach ( GKZ 272562) rises at 315 m altitude south of Heide (coordinates). Then it flows through Schnörringen and past the Vierbucher Mühle to merge with the Hufener Bach south of Bettenhagen .
