Gilbert Cheruiyot Koech

Gilbert Cheruiyot Koech (born September 1, 1980 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in road running.

In 2001 he finished fourth in the Boilermaker Road Race , in 2003 third in the Philadelphia Half Marathon, and in 2004 he won the Houston Marathon half marathon . In January 2005 he won the Las Vegas Marathon . In 2008 he finished fourth in the Dresden Marathon , and in 2009 he won the San Antonio Marathon .

His wife Edna Ngeringwony Kiplagat is also successful as a long-distance runner.
