Edna Ngeringwony Kiplagat (born September 15, 1979 or November 15, 1979 in Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in road running.

Career

In athletics junior world championships , she won silver over 3000 meters in 1996 and bronze in 1998. In the junior women's race at the 1996 World Cross Country Championships in Stellenbosch she was fifth and fourth at the 1997 World Cross Country Championships in Turin. Both times she won the Nations Cup with the Kenyan team.

In December 2005 she started for the first time over the 42.195 km distance, but was only tenth in 2:50:20 hours in the Las Vegas Marathon . In the following two years she started with more success on shorter distances: In 2006 she won the Virginia Beach Half Marathon and came second in the Philadelphia Half Marathon and the San José Half Marathon .
