Career

society

Binya began his career with Nassara Yaounde, Constallacio Yaounde and Cotonsport Garoua , which he was available as a player from 2001 to 2003. In 2003 he joined the first team at Tonnerre Yaoundé , where players like Roger Milla , Rigobert Song and George Weah were already under contract.

In 2004 he moved within Africa to MC Oran in Algeria , where he was under contract for three years. After a relatively good performance in Oran , the top club from Portugal Benfica Lisbon noticed him and signed him in 2007 for around 300,000 euros . Under José Antonio Camacho he matured into an action player. He made his debut for Benfica on 23 September 2007 against Sporting Braga , where he received a yellow card. The game ended goalless. He also made his UEFA Champions League debut that season . In the 1: 2 defeat against AC Milan in the group stage, Binya came on for Miguel Vítor in the 73rd minute . Three more games followed ( Shakhtar Donetsk , Celtic Glasgow twice ). In the second game against Celtic Glasgow Cameroon fouled the Scots Scott Brown so rough that he got out aufgebrummt a six-match ban.

After another season at Benfica Lisbon with appearances in the UEFA Cup and only seven league appearances (where he curiously received five yellow cards) and the victory in the Taça da Liga , Binya was loaned to Neuchâtel Xamax in Switzerland at the beginning of the 2009/10 season . He made his debut on August 9, 2009 against FC Luzern , where he played through and again saw a yellow card. After scoring an own goal on matchday two in the 2011/12 season, he was suspended by the Chechen owner Bulat Tschagajew at Neuchâtel Xamax.

In the summer of 2011 he was loaned to the Turkish first division club Gaziantepspor for the duration of one season and committed by this at the end of the loan period. For the 2015/16 season, Binya switched to the Turkish second division side Elazığspor .

National team

Binya took in 2008, after the first time in October 2007 by Otto Pfister in the national team of Cameroon was called on Africa Cup 2008 in Egypt in part. He was used in all games except in the third group game against Sudan , but he never played through. In the first group game against Egypt he got yellow and in the second against Zambia he was allowed to play from the beginning, but this was the only time. In the final, again against Egypt, Binya came on for Alexandre Song in the 17th minute , but could not prevent the 0-1.
