Gionata Verzura ( Thai : จอ นา ตา แว ร์ ซู ร่า ; * May 27, 1992 in Bangkok ) is a Thai - Italian football player .
Gionata was born the son of an Italian and a Thai woman. His twin brother Antonio Verzura also plays in the Thai League . He plays for Sukhothai FC .
Career
Gionata Verzura learned to play football in the school team of the Pensmith School in Bangkok . He signed his first contract in 2010 with the first division club Osotspa Samut Prakan . By 2016 he played for the club eleven times. In 2011 he was loaned to the third division club Sakaeo FC to Sakaeo . The second division Phuket FC loaned him out for the 2014 season. He was then loaned to Hua Hin third division club Hua Hin City FC . He was loaned out to the second division Ubon UMT United after Ubon Ratchathani in 2016. With the club he was runner-up in the Thai Premier League Division 1 and thus rose to the first division. After the rise of Ubon, he was signed for the 2017 season. For the 2018 season he went to Ratchaburi and joined league rivals Ratchaburi Mitr Phol . After 19 games, he moved to the north of Thailand in 2019 , where he signed a contract with first division club Chiangrai United in Chiangrai . Here he was immediately loaned to the first division promoted Chiangmai FC , a club from Chiangmai . At the end of 2019, the club had to relegate back to the second division as the bottom of the table in the first division.
