Titular diocese Girus Tarasii
Girus Tarasii ( Italian : Giro di Tarasio ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
The diocese was located in Numidia , a historical landscape in North Africa that includes large parts of the present-day states of Tunisia and Algeria . There was a town called Henchir-Tarsa near Girus Tarasii . The place of birth of St. Augustine , the city of Thagaste (today Souk Ahras ) is said to have belonged to the area.
