Giulio Foresti (born August 21, 1888 in Bergamo ; † April 5, 1965 ) was an Italian racing driver .

Career

Giulio Foresti was active as a racing driver in the 1920s and early 1930s. Little or nothing is known about the Italian's monoposto activities; his entry at the French Grand Prix in 1922 is documented . On the other hand, it is more comfortable to use sports car races. In 1924 he was one of the first Italians to compete in the then still young Le Mans 24-hour race . Together with Arthur Duray he drove an Ariés 3 liter. A failure due to a defect is noted in the official result lists without going into the exact cause. His best place in this endurance race was fourth overall in 1926 . In 1928 he won the Targa Abruzzi , a sports car race near Pescara . It is also worth mentioning the ninth place overall in the Mille Miglia 1931 .
