Giuseppe Martino

Giuseppe Martino (born May 1, 1915 in Castelmagno , † October 29, 2001 in Alice Bel Colle ) was an Italian cyclist .

Giuseppe Martino was a professional cyclist from 1938 to 1958. Initially, he mainly drove road races, but he never achieved great success. In 1939 he won the Lyon-Grenoble-Lyon race together with Pierre Brambilla . From the beginning of the 1950s, Martino shifted his focus to standing races and was Italian champion seven times in this discipline. At the UCI Track World Championships in Milan in 1955 , he finished third, behind the legendary pacemaker Léon Vanderstuyft .
