Giuseppe Rocco Favale

Giuseppe Rocco Favale (born July 11, 1935 in Irsina , † June 29, 2018 in Gravina in Puglia ) was an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Vallo della Lucania .

Life

Giuseppe Rocco Favale studied philosophy and theology at the seminary in Molfetta and was ordained a priest on July 15, 1962 . After pastoral work, he became vice rain, later rain of the seminary in Molfetta.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Vallo della Lucania on March 4, 1989 . The Archbishop of Naples , Michele Cardinal Giordano , donated the bishop to him on May 1st of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Giuseppe Vairo , Archbishop of Potenza-Muro Lucano-Marsico Nuovo , and Ennio Appignanesi , Archbishop of Matera-Irsina .

On May 7, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
