Gjorgje "Gjore" Jovanovski ( Macedonian Ѓорѓе Јовановски , other spellings: Djorge Jovanovski, Djordje Jovanovski, Georgi Jovanovski, Djordje Jovanovski * 22. March 1956 in Skopje , then SFR Yugoslavia , now Northern Macedonia ) is a former nordmazedonischer football player and current coach .
Coaching career
After the end of his active career, Jovanovski started working as a football coach in 1998. First, he took over his former club Vardar Skopje as head coach. He led the team to the UEFA Cup in the 1998/99 season . Then he signed the reigning champions FK Sloga Jugomagnat Skopje . He was able to win the championship with the club in 2000 and 2001 . In May 2001 he succeeded Dragi Kanatlarovski as Macedonian national coach . In qualifying for the 2002 World Cup , he led the national team to three draws and two defeats. At the beginning of 2002 he left the association and took over Samsunspor in March 2002 . After a few months he was released there. From 2003 to 2007 he looked after Rabotnički Skopje , which he led to the championship twice. In October 2007 he took over promoted FK Milano Kumanovo , with whom he was able to reach the runner- up at the end of the 2007/08 season . In the autumn of 2008 he committed promoted FK Metalurg Skopje , with whom he achieved the class retention .
Since August 17, 2010 he coached the Bulgarian CSKA Sofia , where he was dismissed after a little more than two months after a 0-2 Europa League home defeat against Rapid Vienna . On June 14, 2011, he was appointed head coach of the Bangladesh national team, but was released a few days later on June 23, 2011. The reason was his refusal to travel to Pakistan on June 20 to meet his team on June 20 due to security concerns. In November 2011 Jovanovski again took over Rabotnički Skopje, but was released after two months. From August to November 2013 he was the head coach of KF Shkëndija .
