18 years ago Viktor Nemetz had an affair with the local Florinda Robinson in the Dominican Republic. He recently received a letter from her and would now like to visit her. Viktor slowly gets used to the idea of having an 18-year-old daughter, but Flavia's grandmother finally discovers the past.
Dirk Weimar believes he has killed one of the blackmailers after an affair involving extortion in Germany. He fled to the Dominican Republic with his partner Judith Marnach. Both want to build a new future for themselves, but remain undetected for fear of police persecution. Rolf Erhardt thinks he knows Judith from earlier and, to Dirk's displeasure, tries to talk to her.
Little Alberto offers himself to Sylvia and Andreas as tourist guides and does not leave their side anymore. It quickly turns out that he is an orphan living on the street and that he still has a number of siblings and half-siblings. Touched by the fate of the little ones, Sylvia, Andreas and Viktor start an aid program.
