Attractive industrial spy Susan confuses co-pilot Rolf Erhardt with her contact in a hotel restaurant and slips Rolf an envelope. This action does not go unnoticed. Rolf and Susan are soon kidnapped to the private island of the opaque industrialist Jack Hawkins. Hawkins, who appears to be in the defense industry, wants to expose Susan's activities and puts both of them under pressure. In an unobserved moment, Rolf and Susan manage to escape in the industrialist's seaplane.
The provincial actor Edgar pulls out a few stops to get closer to the attractive physiotherapist Astrid. Although Astrid soon realizes that his unbearable back pain is faked, Edgar finally succeeds.
Passenger Karl Kickau from Berlin, accompanied by Viktor, Sabine and Martina, visits his old friend Albert Dahlke, who emigrated to New Zealand years ago and is now dedicated to sheep breeding. Karl likes life on the farm, while Albert longs to return to Berlin. They spontaneously decide to switch roles - until Albert backs down.
