The Gmina Łysomice is a rural municipality in the powiat Toruński of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name ( German: Lissomitz ) with about 2000 inhabitants.
geography
The community is located in the historic Kulmerland in the former West Prussia . It borders to the south on the town Toruń (Thorn) . The Strugai , which rises near Papowo Toruńskie (Thornisch Papau) and seeps away into sandy lands a few kilometers further, is one of the rivers.
history
As part of the second partition of Poland , the municipality came to Prussia in 1793 . After the First World War , it was ceded to the Second Polish Republic in January 1920 under the provisions of the Versailles Treaty . After the invasion of Poland was 1,939 German occupied and some places have been renamed.
The rural community belonged to the Thorn Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998 .

traffic
On the Toruń – Malbork railway line, there is the Ostaszewo Toruńskie station and the Łysomice stop (formerly the station); the Pąpowo Toruńskie station and the Turzno stop on the Toruń – Chernyachovsk railway line. The Olek stop was on the Toruń – Chełmno railway line .
