The Gmina Bukowiec is a rural municipality in the powiat Świecki of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Bukowitz , 1942–1945 Hasenmühl ).

history

From 1939 to 1945 the region belonged politically to the district of Schwetz (West Pr.) In the Reichsgau Danzig-West Prussia .

The main town was connected to the Terespol – Vandsburg railway line in 1909 , and passenger traffic was discontinued in 1994 and the line closed.
