The Gmina Krasnobród is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Zamojski of the Lublin Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 3100 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the Roztocze mountains in the southeast of the voivodeship. The Wieprz flows through the municipality with the Krasnobród Landscape Protection Park . The city of Zamość is about 20 kilometers north, Lublin 90 kilometers northwest and Lemberg ( Lviv in Ukraine) 100 kilometers southeast.

The urban-and-rural municipality of Krasnobród has an area of 124.85 km², on which about 7200 people live. The name of the town and the following 16 school authorities ( sołectwo ) belong to the municipality :
Dominikanówka, Grabnik, Hucisko, Hutki, Hutków, Kaczórki, Majdan Mały, Majdan Wielki, Malewszczyzna, Nowa Wieś, Podklasztor, Potok-Senderki, Stara Huta, Szur, Wólka Husińska and Zielone.
