The Gmina Zawichost is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Sandomierski of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 1800 inhabitants.

The most important body of water is the Vistula , which forms the eastern border of the municipality. The main town is also located on this river, about 17 km north of Sandomierz .
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship .
