The Goliath GV 800 and GV 800 A were small vans that were built from June 1951 to 1952 and from June 1952 to December 1953 in the Goliath factory in Bremen . The standard version was the flatbed truck. Box and box wagons as well as around 20 different special bodies were also available. The GV 800 was presented in April 1951 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main. The first models had a two-cylinder two-stroke engine GM500 with 16 HP (12 kW) output, from summer 1952 it was increased to 21 HP (15 kW) with the GM600 .

The revised vehicle was sold as the GV 800 A model . There was also a parallel to load tricycle Goliath GD 750 produced four-wheeled transporters. The maximum speed of the GV 800 A was 70 km / h. The sales price per vehicle was DM 5425 to 6425, depending on the body variant. A total of 4016 vehicles were built.
