Gottfried Kögel
Gottfried Kögel (born November 21, 1858 in The Hague ; † November 24, 1918 in Eberswalde ) was a German administrative lawyer and writer.
Kögel was born as the son of the Protestant pastor Rudolf Kögel . He grew up in Berlin , where his father worked as court and cathedral preacher from 1863 . After graduating from high school, he studied Protestant theology for one semester in Bonn and then law in Göttingen and Berlin . After his legal clerkship in Berlin, he embarked on an administrative career and had his first positions in the governments in Trier and Königsberg . In 1887 he became a government assessor in Schleswig , and in 1890 district administrator of the Schwerin district in the province of Posen . In 1897 he returned to Berlin as a councilor in the Ministerial, Military and Building Commission. He was appointed a secret councilor in 1910 . Most recently he was a secret senior government councilor and lecturer at the Potsdam Chamber of Accounts .
Since May 20, 1891, Kögel was married to the Altmark landowner's daughter Bernhardine Hedwig Charlotte von Kalben (* September 7, 1872, † September 28, 1955).
Kögel published a three-volume biography of his father as well as two dramas from the area of patriotic history.
