Gräsmyr is a småort in the northern Swedish municipality of Nordmaling in Västerbotten County .
The place is located on the Hörneån river , which flows into the Bottenwiek . Grasmyr is about twenty kilometers west of Umeå . The Länsväg AC 512 runs through the village from the center of Umeås via Gräsmyr to Nordmaling . Another road, AC 539 , leads to Hörnsjö, three kilometers away. There is also a rail connection to the Stambanan genom övre Norrland .
In Gräsmyr there have always been around 200 inhabitants for the last twenty years, this number was only exceeded in 1995, so that the place was listed as a crime scene for the next five years .
