Nyåker is a småort in the northern Swedish municipality of Nordmaling in Västerbotten County .

The place is located on the river Svartbäcken about twenty kilometers north of Nordmaling . Länsväg 353 runs through the village from Nordmaling via Bjurholm to Lycksele . The place has a train station on the old route of the Stambanan genom övre Norrland ; this is no longer used for passenger traffic.

The population development of Nyåker, too is declining: By 1970, the place was still as Tätort listed with more than 200 inhabitants. Nyåker has its own church, which is part of Nordmalings socken . The gingerbreads of the same name , which are still industrially produced today, have made Nyåker famous .
