Gröben is a district of Schlöben in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

geography

Gröben is south of Schlöben about 500 m at the after Jena by leading national road 1075 in hilly terrain . The federal motorway 4 passes south of the district . The desert village of Ladnitz is nearby .

history

church

The village was first mentioned in a document on June 20, 1224. The place 1288, a Slavic settlement called Greben . In 1482 Bünau received the Vorwerk as a fief . In 1885 142 people lived in the village.

A law firm, a nail studio, a roofing company and a car repair shop are located in the village.

Culture

In 2001, residents of the village founded the association "Realia-Gröben eV" to maintain customs and promote community spirit.
