history

The location was not built until the first half of the 19th century, the restaurant at the beginning of the 20th century. The location was first called "In der Grüne". To the east of the town ran a coal path that connected the southern Ruhr area (including the Nachtigall colliery in Witten ) via Barmen and Ronsdorf with Remscheid. In particular, it was used to transport coal to metalworking companies and forges in the Morsbachtal and in the Remscheid area. In the Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies from 1715, this road was already mentioned, which has developed into a ravine in places over the centuries and was placed under protection in this section as a ground monument in 2009 . The ravine can still be seen well next to the neighboring Neuland court estate as well as in the opposite direction to the Spelsberg .
