Grant Heslov (born May 15, 1963 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor , director , screenwriter , producer and Oscar winner.

Live and act

Grant Heslov has been an actor since the early 1980s. From the beginning of his career into the 1990s, he was mainly seen on television as a guest star in various series. But he also took on minor roles in theatrical productions, such as Prosecutors Don't Kiss From 1986.

He made his debut as a director in 1998 with the short film Waiting for Woody , for which he also wrote the screenplay. In 2002 he directed the comedy Par 6 and in 2005 he shot five episodes of the television series Unscripted . In the same year Heslov wrote the screenplay for the film Good Night, and Good Luck , in which the director George Clooney was also involved. Heslov also worked as a producer for this film. Together, Heslov and Clooney were nominated for an Oscar in two categories . They also received the Satellite Award for the screenplay in 2005 and they received Osella for the best screenplay at the Venice Film Festival . In 2006, Heslov founded Smokehouse Pictures with George Clooney , through which they will produce films from now on. In 2013, along with co-producers Ben Affleck , who also directed, and George Clooney, Argo won an Oscar in the Best Picture category.

In addition to feature films, he was the director of the Nespresso commercials with George Clooney and John Malkovich in 2009 and 2010 .
