The Graustock is a mountain in the Unterwaldner Voralpen , south of Engelberg in central Switzerland . The summit is one of two points in the triangle between the cantons of Nidwalden , Obwalden and Bern (the second point is the Jochstock ).

A ridge leads south-east over the Schafberg ( 2523  m above sea level ) to the Jochpass ( 2207  m above sea level ) with the Berghaus Jochpass and cable car connection. Neighboring peaks are Schwarzhorn ( 2638  m above sea level ) and Rotsandnollen ( 2700  m above sea level ) in the northwest and Reissend Nollen ( 3002  m above sea level ) and Titlis ( 3238  m above sea level ) in the southeast. To the northeast of the Graustock lies the Trüebsee , southwest of the Engstlensee .

Ascent history

In March 1993, the mountaineers Robert Jasper and Malte Roeper managed the first ascent of the north-east face (route name Schwarzwaldklinik ).
