geography
The city is located in the fertile Salinas Valley northeast of the Santa Lucia Mountains . After San Francisco in the north is about 200 km, San Jose 130 km. The geographical coordinates are: 36.32 ° north, 121.24 ° west. The urban area has a size of 4.4 km².
Economy and Transport
The region around Greenfield is one of the most fertile areas in the USA because of its climate and soils. Among other things, so much lettuce is grown that one speaks of the "American salad bowl".
