Greifenberg and Waltenhofener slopes are a 42.6 hectare nature reserve belonging to the municipality of Pettendorf, southeast of Etterzhausen on the left side of the Naab valley in the district of Regensburg , Bavaria .

The nature reserve includes the forest areas of the Greifenberg and the Waltenhofener slopes, but excludes the former mining area of the Etterzhausen gravel works, which is, however, an FFH and European bird sanctuary . On August 14, 2002, the Regensburg Administrative Court decided to shut down the 15-hectare dolomite quarry. The south-facing nature reserve has warmth-loving fringe and forest communities with a high proportion of particularly warmth-loving plant and animal species.
