tasks

The cross-border local association Mittelhardt-Oberrhein has the task, subject to further orders

  • the promotion and implementation of cross-border, municipal cooperation in the areas
    • cross-border planning model,

    • Development of bilingualism,
    • Mutual assistance,

  • the development of other measures that directly or indirectly promote the relationships between the association members and
  • the provision of public services for a member as part of a transfer or transfer (Art. 5 of the Karlsruhe Agreement).

The construction of a Rhine crossing between Hartheim and Fessenheim, which was decided as a further task, was already completed with the inauguration of the Hardt bridge Erich Dilger - Alain Foechterlé on May 20, 2006.
