Trivia

Town Hall (Mairie)

In Rustenhart, the town hall ( Mairie ) is converted into a pub for eight days every three years . The reason is that no new dispensing licenses are issued in France and existing licenses expire if they are not used for at least the above period. When the last innkeeper in the village wanted to give up his license, it was taken over by the municipality in order to save it as the village's last license.
