Kaysersberg Vignoble ( Alsatian Kaiserschbàrig Vignoble ) is a French commune with 4601 inhabitants in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region . The place belongs to the arrondissement of Colmar-Ribeauvillé and the canton of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines . The municipality is also part of the Vallée de Kaysersberg municipal association founded in 1995 .
geography
Kaysersberg Vignoble is located on the Weiss River in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, around 10 kilometers northwest of Colmar and around 60 kilometers southwest of Strasbourg in the north of the Haut-Rhin department. The community consists of the settlements of Kaysersberg , Kientzheim and Sigolsheim, the hamlet of Alspach and several individual farms.
Neighboring municipalities are Riquewihr in the north and north-east, Mittelwihr and Bennwihr in the east, Colmar in the south-east, Ammerschwihr in the south, Labaroche in the south-west, Lapoutroie and Fréland in the west and Aubure in the north-west.
history
The community was created on January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the union of the previous communities of Kaysersberg , Kientzheim and Sigolsheim . The town hall ( Hôtel de ville ) of the new municipality is located in the building of the previous town hall of Kaysersberg.
