history
Muntzenheim was first mentioned in a document from Munster Abbey of March 4, 673 as "Monesensisheim".
From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Muntzenheim belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Colmar district in the Upper Alsace district .
